Personal pronouns

Words like car, man, dog are nouns. Pronouns are words that replace nouns (pro-nouns): For example: Pedro drinks a Coke. You can replace "Pedro" with "He": He drinks a Coke. "He" is the personal pronoun for "Pedro".
The form of the personal pronoun depends on its number:

      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • the speaker or writer, referred to as the grammatical subject of a sentence
    • Example:
      • I wake up at 7 in the morning.
    • You [juː]
      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • a singular person spoken to or written to; or if you address several other people directly
    • Example:
      • Are you ok?
    • He [hiː]
      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • a male other person; the previously mentioned male
    • Example:
      • He is my brother.
    • She [ʃiː]
      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • a female other person; the previously mentioned female
    • Example:
      • She is my sister.
    • It [ɪt]
      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • a non-human thing
    • Example:
      • Put it over there.
    • We [wiː]
      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • if you talk about you and somebody else
    • Example:
      • We live in England.
    • They [ðeɪ]
      (pronoun)
    • Definition:
      • if you talk about other people or things, you not included
    • Example:
      • They live in Germany.
