Quantities and Measurements

There are various possibilities to express quantity in the English language.
Quantifiers are the words you use for example to tell someone how much milk or food or money you want.
Most of the words you need for that are rather easy to understand. Two common quantifiers are some and any, which are very similar but not the same in meaning, so be careful with them! But don't forget, there are more quantifiers.
Measurements are units used to describe the amount of certain things, for example litre, metre, stone etc.
The British sometimes use different units of measurement from most other European countries. Learn more about that on Measurements.
